I could understand how the phone says it is 192.168.0.104, maybe you
configured the WRT54G as a bridge to  the other network so that the WRT54G
is not handing out IP addresses, instead it is passing that function on to
the D-Link. However, that would not explain why the laptop got an address on
a totally different subnet. Something odd is going on here.   How about
connecting the wire of the laptop directly to the WRT54G and finding out
what address it gets.
