A related question is system status email. My Linux systems
generate a dozen emails per day with status. The "internal
mails" I'm thinking about would be like that: "Here's today's
scheduled clients" "Here's this morning's missed calls".
It may be that the Mac can't use email to notify - you run
a gui app (or Terminal and "less") to look at the logs.
I may end up having to run dovecot on localhost and feed Mac
Mail that way. At least I can feed postfix at the front end.
I hope the folks with experience in both worlds can help here.
As one helpful fellow suggested, "ask the PDX Perl folk", so
I will try there.
