[PLUG] Writing DVD With Xcdroast-0.98alpha16

I have a 4.2G .iso to burn onto a 4.7G DVD. Reading the FAQ and xcdroast
manual section on writing to DVDs, I downloaded the most recent (2005)
cdrecord.prodvd (the changed name of the downloaded file when moved to
/usr/lib/xcdroast/bin/ with 755 perms and ownership of root.root).

According to the xcdroast manual section, when I start the application I
should see a dialog box that acknowledges the presence of cdrecord.prodvd.
No such message box appears.

Each time I select the .iso file to write, I get an error writing tracks message
in the dialog box. The log window does see cdrecord.prodvd, but cannot open
/dev/sg*.

   The progress output is:

Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev= "3,0,0" gracetime=10
fs=4096k driveropts=burnfree -v -useinfo speed=48 -dao -eject -pad -data
"/home/rshepard/iso-to-burn/slackware-13.37-install-dvd.iso" ...

cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/sg*'. Cannot open or

cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.

When I run 'cdrecord -scanbus' (as root) I see:

Given this information, what must I do to get xcdroast to write the .iso
to the optical disk?

TIA,

Rich
