Not quite meaningless.  If you want caching, I guess you want to run
in a linux VM. ;-)

It's hard to avoid calling it embarrassing that a VM you host runs
something faster than you can run the same thing natively.  It almost
defies the laws of thermodynamics! ;-)

Anyway, someone asked for an example of why you might want to run a
linux VM under OSX.  That, apparently, is one.
