[PLUG] How to copy files from one machine to another without having them owned by nobody

When I copy files from one of my Ubuntu boxes to another the ownership 
on the receiving box ends up being nobody. I have the same login name on 
each machine. Is there a way to have the files maintain the ownership 
settings during the copy process?
