Agreed.  Can't we "react" to an opportunity to run legacy windows
apps on a non-M$ platform?

BTW, more websearch shows that ReactOS is still early alpha but
making progress fast.  The biggest missing chunk (IMHO) is NTFS
compatability; for now it works with FATxx only.  The project's
focus at this time is on improving binary compatability for
applications.  For those of us who run a handful of apps like
Quickbooks, and test the occasional linux-generated file with
Word or Explorer, that is close to adequate.

ReactOS is not Linux, but it will support ExtN and the other
Linux file systems eventually.  For new deployments, that is
probably good enough.  Export your WinX files to a FAT32 
partition, and move them to a modern file system from there.

While ReactOS is not ready for wide deployment today, early
adopters will be the first to benefit from wide deployment
when it does happen.
