[PLUG] Amazon has taken over my computer

So I was shopping on Amazon and decided to see what Newegg offered. I
opened a new tab and typed "newegg.com" in the URL bar. Up popped
Amazon's front page. I tried it several times, then in Opera, where it
always came up Amazon as well.

Then I googled on "newegg" and clicked on the Google link. That finally
brought up Newegg. It's good to see that they haven't merged with
Amazon.

How did this happen? How can I undo it so that the URL bar takes me
where I want to go?
