[PLUG] Creating MP4 (or other?) embedded web page animations?

I won't make the talk tonight - I'm behind on preparing taxes.

Subtitling is interesting, but I'm also interested in preparing
animations for web pages.  In the past, I used png2swf to make
embedded flash videos that display in any browser.  I presume
there are better ways to embed full screen "any browser"
animations today, with subtitling.  Perhaps tonight's talk 
will cover that - if so, someone please post relevant notes.
