1) what is the make/model of the wifi device that you use in your
house? none is an acceptable answer.

What ever is on the telco provided, it is disabled

 2) about how old is it (rough guess is fine)?

About 3 years old. My old Cisco Speedrunner finally died

 2) is it running firmware from the vendor or have you installed a 3rd
party firmware like DDwrt, OpenWrt or similar?

The telco on no, after the telco 'box', I have a four network port
router running OpenWrt. Cant remember who made the SBC, name
started with S. One of those group buy things.

 3) Do you now or have you ever exhibited any interest in model trains?
(this is to weight your answer heavier for the target demographic)

In the past yes, neighbor had a setup that run from the basement up and
down an incline into the family room upstairs and back. Computer was a
General Automation 16 bit mini.
