Germane to the title, perhaps not to Paul's message, is that
F/OSS legal maven Lawrence Lessig was briefly a candidate:

The smartest of the bunch, too brainiac for the media.
I agree with Tip O'Neill's statement that "All Politics are
Local". We develop community consensus around solutions to
local problems - what actually worked, and who organized it?
Leadership emerges from communities, not from voting. We
must educate the folks next door, and be educated by them,
before we try to bamboozle a nation with campaign slogans
and salacious gossip.
Voting is a superficial ratification of a bottom up process;
without process, voting is merely a popularity contest,
picking fools with the best slogan-writers and hairdressers.
Find a problem and solve it, don't wait for politicians to
tell you what to do.
Keith
