[PLUG] Roundcube as an alternative...

Frustrated with Horde Webmail, I switched to RoundCube. Unfortunately,
I am using in the clear port 25 smtp and in the clear port 143 imap.
Can't figure out how to configure postfix and dovecot otherwise. Horde
will probably work with in the clear imap and in the clear smtp, but
this isn't acceptable if I access email remotely over the Internet.

Another problem with RoundCube is that I don't think it supports
calendaring let alone shared calendaring. Not sure that it
supports an address book either. A possible solution is a non
integrated separate PHP based calendar. Do any nice ones exist
that are easy to configure and that use a backend database? How
about sqlite3? Tis a shame that I can't use evolution remotely...
Maybe I can set up X2GO server.

Advantages so far of RoundCube, it is free and there is
presumably support for it in the U.S. as well as hopefully
training. Disadvantage, it isn't as fully featured as
Horde. Horde is painful because you have to touch text
based configuration files. I don't think I had to with
RoundCube, very nice.
