[PLUG] How do I get rid of this command line environment?

Perhaps. But how do I get rid of it?

BTW, this "window" doesn't have normal window controls. It sits just 
under the menu line in MATE, extends across the boundary from the left 
hand monitor to partway into the right hand monitor (about the same 
width as the right hand monitor).
