My point is, if the tester's light turns off when you unplug the switch, it
tells you your labels are off. Since naturally you would have unplugged #12
and #13 to connect the remote sensor, and you're getting signal on both
with the probe only connected to 1.

Since that goes out when the switch is off, clearly it's still connected
when the port with that label is unplugged - thus you have a label mismatch.
