Larry,

   I thought this is the case. Twice I've had the system shut down when I was
compiling two large applications simultaneously and each took a long time.

   I'm curious whether the reported values (leftmost column) represent
24-hour average, maximum instanteous value, or something else. While the CPU
temperature hit 61C and the high value is 60C I assume that it represents a
transient event.
