[PLUG] Slackware has package manager

My mistake with Slackware not having package manager - I assumed it based
on your troubleshooting and usage patterns downloading individual files for
the distro and installing/updating by hand. That ought to break distro with
package manager.

Again, my mistake, I should not take the easy path assuming anything about
a distro based on shallow observation of users usage patterns.

There is not enough days to learn about everything - so it kind of ends
like that saying - if it quaks like a duck ....

Apologies aside - seeing that you download individual packages/versions

Why are you not using that package manager to install and update packages?

Is it unreliable? Can it not handle dependencies? What makes you to rsync
individual files for install/update?

Just curious, though not enough to go and try it. Based on what I hear - it
would take too much time and effort to try.

Thanks,
Tomas
