I have it on good authority that if Free Geek is unable to overwrite the
data on any storage device to the point where it cannot be recovered, they
will physically damage the device by driving a large hole through its
storage medium.

I heard they even offer an industry-backed Certificate of Data Destruction,
though the certificate is a paid service (the drive destruction is not
something they charge for).
