Ben,

In one case, there was a single mail list served by Mailman and I would have
expected the owner to shut down Mailman when he cancelled that one list. In
the other case there are still two lists remaining on Mailman. Still, if a
list is deleted/removed/canceled why would Mailman continue to send
subscription reminders to names signed up for the no-longer-existing mail
list?
