I can't uninstall the PIA client because it was installed via a shell
script, and I don't know how to figure out what the script did. Also, I
can't restore internet access.
As for the link to PIA's helpdesk (thanks) I looked at it quickly, but
it will take a long time for me to wade through it, and I probably
won't understand much of it.
But I do have partial good news. I relaunched the PIA GUI client,
connected to their server, and I'm back online.
Obviously I still need to figure out what PIA is doing to screw up my
computer's access to the internet, but I can deal with that tomorrow.
In the meantime, at least we all now know that there is clearly
something going on with PIA.
