Google Ads and other revenue for your website
by Colleen Dick, Shannon Dealy and Dave Regan
Location: Kelley Engineering Building at Oregon State University
in Corvallis - Room 1007
6:00 - New linux user questions (stump larry)
6:30 - Main talk
8:15 (or so) - Go over to american dream pizza for pizza and beer.
So you decided to quit your day job and you want to stay
home and just write blog entries. But the mortgage calls.
So you have decided you will put ads on your website and
make a living that way.....
Or so the story goes.
What actually does it take to put ads up on your website?
What kinds of traffic do you have to have to make it worth your time?
Are there any real life examples of how ads on websites work?
Our three speakers have been spending some time looking
at putting ads or donation buttons up on their websites.
Dave has a wordsearch puzzle that thousands of students
and teachers have discovered. With all that traffic, can
he get people to donate?
Look at this linux lug wordsearch puzzle and see if you can
find the words:

What is dave's experience with converting traffic into
revenue.
Come hear Colleen, Shannon and Dave talk about the
revenue experience they have had and see what
the tools that they used are, including paypal
and google ads.
To get to the Kelly Engineering building, follow these
instructions:
