STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The
STEM Mentor Project (funded by the National Science Foundation) provides
STEM professionals and students with the opportunity to mentor high
school age students interested in STEM careers.

Would you be interested in learning more about becoming a mentor?

Here is a little more about the project:

•	The purpose of the STEM Mentor Project is to determine the impact of
STEM mentors, with and without disabilities, on the STEM knowledge,
interest, and self-efficacy of youth with disabilities.
•	Mentors will meet with a high school freshman or sophomore student 2
times a month for 6 months (March – August 2009).
•	Training will be provided and you will receive $250 as a thank-you for
your time.
