Announcing PLUG Advanced Topics: January 2011

NEXT TUESDAY, January 18th, 7PM at Free Geek:

Cooper Stevenson is rescheduled to give his talk: Artificial Neural
Networks: Principles and Applications

Cooper will cover how the topic is relevant to Open Source as ANN's may
be used for a host of practical applications and serve as an
introduction to ANN's running on Open Source.

Emphasis will be placed on the financial industry's use of ANN's for
market prediction but other uses will be addressed.

Cooper Stevenson's Bio: Cooper is a leading expert in Information
Technology systems for business automation. His award winning designs
focus on expanding business intelligence and automation for medium and
large industry. He moved Legislation through the Oregon Legislature and
has written over ten publications for online resources. He is also
featured in CNET News, Linux Today, and Linux.com. Recently, Cooper
developed the first automated artificial neural network system for
predicting financial securities price fluctuations and business process
intelligence.
