IRS Commissioner Doug Schulman here, using Mr. Lofstrom's
seized computer to announce the April 15th Linux Clinic.
We've extended the filing date to Tuesday, April 17 so
that you taxpayers can attend the Linux Clinic on Sunday,
get your Linux computers working, then compute your taxes.
We were beating notorious tax evader Keith Lofstrom with
hoses, trying to find out where he got the money to purchase
all his software. He told us that it was "free". Right...
Then he told us that the Linux clinic was free as well,
with free wireless and wired ethernet, free use of monitors
and keyboards and mice, and free advice to help people
with their Linux problems. And free snacks? Free coffee?
Preposterous! We know that Apple Computer and Microsoft
charge thousands of dollars for software and phone support,
Kinkos charges twenty bucks an hour for their workstations,
and Geek Squad charges their malware-plagued customers big
bucks to equip their poorly trained staff with orange and
black Volkswagens and poorly fitting black plastic glasses.
The IRS doesn't like "free". You can't tax it, and there
is no place on form 8347-6B for "distro downloads" and
"live CDs", whatever those are.
At first, Lofstrom told us that the Clinic was at Free Geek,
1731 SE 10th Avenue, between 1 and 5. We sent a surveilance
team. That place is nothing but a bunch of raggedy hippies
recycling old junk. After using the thumscrews on him,
we finally got the real address, a large lakeside home
near Redmond, Washington. We'll be waiting for you ...
Dougy
