[PLUG-JOBS] How bad is it??

Here's a koan for you...

  If you have a good job in hell, is it still a good job? 


I've finally found a good job (that required me to relocate), one I
definitely enjoy w/ reasonable pay & good challenges, but *everything*
outside the job SUCKS.  Since moving here, we've become crime victims,
been cheated for a pretty sizable amount of money, & found that a lot of
the things we were promised simply don't exist.  We've left friends,
family & "little", more esoteric things such as doctors & a car repair
shop that we trust.  My family is absolutely miserable here, & that's
what's weighing on me the most.

Am I a freaking idiot for even thinking of going back to PDX?  Are
things as rough as they were a year ago?  I'd like to hear what things
are like back there.
