Location City: Beaverton, OR   

Description Title: Systems Engineer

Project Description and Tasks: This position is for an exciting project
working with Linux, Open source software and cutting edge hardware. The goal
of the project is to build, integrate and document an eCommerce
infrastructure using only Open source based software. The software stack
will be installed and configured on leading edge hardware. Once the software
stack is installed, the candidate will document the process.  Successful
Candidates will have experience in:   1) Documenting technical process   2)
Installing and configuring linux on intel based hardware platforms   3)
Installing and configuring DNS, BIND, DHCP, SendMail
4) Configuring ipchains based firewalls   5) Installing and integrating
Apache, Tomcat and MySQL   6) Experience with C and Java required

Experience with the following tools recommended:   1) Snort, EDDIE,
JetSpeed, MONO, Miva   2)   Pluses are experienced with IBM hardware xSeries
servers, FAStT storage (and other fibre attach storage devices), blade
server technology. It is important that any applicant be able to work under
short deadline pressure. Work independently with minimal guidance. Excellent
team and communication skills are important.
