Senior Linux Engineer
As a member of the software engineering team, the Senior Linux Engineer
will develop Linux-based driver and system boot code for a high
performance microprocessor targeted at the embedded system marketplace.
Required Experience
-8+ years experience with Linux internals and experience porting Linux to
a new architecture and BSEE/MSEE or equivalent.
-Familiarity with Systems on Chip architectures, microprocessor
instruction sets, and system blocks: RAM/ROM/DSP/peripherals.
-Familiarity with RISC architectures.
-Familiarity with boot code, software stacks and device drivers.
-Assembly language, C, Java.
Essential Skills
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a
team.
-Willingness to learn new methodologies and tools.
-Participation in development and roll-out of new development
methodologies.
-A professional approach to coding in any programming language, creating
and promoting re-usable code where possible.
-A tenacious attitude and enthusiasm for "debugging".
-Attention to detail.
-Flair for lateral thinking and problem solving.
Desirable Skills or Experience
-Embedded system and RTOS familiarity.
-Experience with cross development and self hosted development.
-Instruction set simulators.
-Knowledge of how software integrates into the SoC architecture - boot
code, software stacks, device drivers.
