Job description: The Server Group offers a wide range of leading-edge
opportunities, including kernel/chip development, manufacturing test and
integration, and IT support. IBM's entire line of server products meet
the needs of our wide range of customers by providing Web servers
through large enterprise systems, operating system software, middleware,
and other IT applications. For more information about IBM's Server Group
visit www.ibm.com/servers. The Server Group is currently looking for a
LTC Xseries Linux Developer. Development, test and support for Linux
operating system feature and function for IBM xSeries platforms.
Development of Linux code, and submission of patches to the Linux Open
Source development community. Work with Linux vendors to get code
submissions accepted into their releases. Support of Linux customers,
and the xSeries development team. Bring-up of Linux on new xSeries
systems. Testing of new Linux releases on xSeries systems. Major Field
of Study: Computer science or
engineering
Linux/UNIX internals. Successful candidate must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
