Our touchscreen kiosk application is running at airports around the country on Dell Optiplex GX270s. Our app is written in Python and runs on RedHat 7.3 (pared down to bare necessities). It works well and has been very stable. Unfortunately, Dell has discontinued the Optiplex GX270 and replaced it with the GX280 which uses Intel's new 915G chipset (SATA drives, GMA900 video, different network chip, etc.). I need someone who can quickly build us a system with the appropriate drivers for the new chipset to work just like our current system. I'll provide a working version of our current system on the GX270 and a brand new GX280 and you'll hand back a GX280 running our application just as it did on the GX270. This project needs to be completed as close to November 19th as possible. If you're interested, available and up to the task, please contact me by e-mail at harv.smythe at mmresources.com. I'll be travelling all next week so please, no phone calls. Harvey Smythe Multimedia Resources, Inc. I have a position available, the description is attached. You can also find it by looking at the link below, then search the openings for IT and look for a job called Education Services System Administrator. This position will actually be working more with windows for the time being. However, the person that gets hired needs to be able to configure environments, tune and tweak a linux box, install and troubleshoot the software installation environment, and be able to perform basic network troubleshooting. The process for doing this is pretty well defined and very straight forward, so the candidate doesn't have to be an expert, just sound basic sysadmin skills. Here is the kicker. In this position you will be at the whim of a sales team supporting several training centers across North America. It is not uncommon to have to travel on a moments notice or be handed a change on friday evening that needs to be in place by monday morning. This job requires the regular 8 to 5, but easily fills a lot of nights and weekends. So, if you have a lot of energy and are pretty flexible w/ your time please apply. You can apply online or send your resume to me directly. http://www.mentor.com/company/careers/job_search/index.cfm -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
