[PLUG-JOBS] UNIX Software Engineer--Contract to Hire

We are looking to bring on a UNIX Software Engineer for a contact-
to-hire position for our downtown client.

 

In this position the contractor will be performing heavy Perl coding,
Korn Shell scripting and deployment of sw packages within UNIX and
Window O/S. This position maintains code management and deployment for
our client's sw teams through the complete software development
lifecycle. Maintains and enhances existing automation tools using Perl
and Shell Scripts. 

 

Requirements: 

4 plus years of PERL scripting, shell scripting, and must have power
user UNIX skills

Bachelors degree or equivalent specializing in Computer Science or
related field or 6 years of related experience.

At least two years of code management, deployment and scripting
experience. 

Must also be able to program in an administrative language (SQL, Perl,
or Shell), 

Experience with porting programs from one platform to another 

 

Desirable: 

Must know how to write small C and C# programs. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate solid understanding
tools such as CVS.
