Job Description:
The Senior Operations Architect is primarily responsible for the
planning, coordination and execution of operations efforts in support
of cross-departmental projects. This role will partner with key
roles(e.g. project managers, operations engineers and managers, as
well as key internal customers to create comprehensive solutions that
are aligned to architecture standards and principles and leverage
common IT solutions and services that meet financial targets (cost,
benefits),.

The technical Operations Architect will have the technical background
and hands-on experience to properly research, specify and execute upon
infrastructure changes and upgrades necessitated by the deployment of
new products, services and platforms within the enterprise.

This role will develop the solution blueprints, evaluation and
technical requirements analysis for the business case and provide high
level design. This role will also provide the consulting and guidance
during the design, build, test and deployment. The position will be
responsible for formulating and maintaining standard operations plans
for operations and new infrastructure planned for the enterprise.

This position requires a high level of industry knowledge in both IT
and data center infrastructure and must possess a high level of
personal organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a strong IT generalist with exceptional
	communications skills.

Sufficient technical knowledge and hands -on experience with a variety
of 	enterprise level technologies including large scale storage
	solutions, caching, high availability networking, strong
	understanding of data storage protocols including fiber channel,
	iSCSI, NFS, CIFS.


5 years of production experience with UNIX/Linux platforms  	 	


3+ years experience with storage systems.  	 	


Excellent script writing experience in Perl C/C++ or equivalent  	 	

Good understanding of facilities infrastructure working in a mid to
large data center.

Excellent listening skills, someone who is able to champion their
opinion 	intelligently, allowing others to see point of view and
appreciate it.

This role is highly cross-functional and requires strong
communications, 	facilitation and influencing skills.

Identify dependencies and risks, develop and implement solutions with
	extended global teams.

Excellent Visio or other architectural drawing tool experience a must  	 	

8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations including
networking, system administration and data storage.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 8-10 years experience in
large 	scale IT environment.

Travel: up to 50%
