Hi,

We are looking for a part-time system administration to maintain a High
Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) and related services. We expect the
candidate to have 3 years of prior system administration experience. Prior
experience in a university lab or other high compute environment will be a

Responsibilities:
1. Configure. maintain & monitor high-performance computing infrastructure
including cluster nodes, file system and associated software.
2. Configure, maintain & monitor TCP/IP network for optimum performance &
security.
3. Configure, maintain & monitor system backups and disaster recovery.
4. Perform regular upgrades and rebuilds of hardware and software, sometimes
outside business hours for minimizing interruption.
4. Collaborate with existing departmental and organizational support to
co-ordinate and plan system growth.
5. Keep abreast of technical knowledge needed to support new equipment,
software and systems.
6. Other computing infrastructure related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1. Ability to be on-call 24 x 7
2. Skilled in administering and managing Linux and Mac environments.
3. Fundamental knowledge of Network engineering and administration: TCP/IP,
Remote access, Sun Grid Engine, Lustre, File systems, RAID storage types
4. High degree of analytical abilities, diagnostic skills and technical
aptitude.
5. At least 3 years of system administration or related experience.
