We are looking for Linux Software Developer for a 9-12 month contract position in Hillsboro Oregon

 

Skills required include:

 

* Knowledge and development experience wtih TV technologies (TV encoder standards including NTSC, PAL, HDMI and HD etc. Experience with VM 700 and 5000)

 

* Strong Linux knowledge / experience (Development in Linux for an embedded target, kernel drivers, kernel driver debugging, pipes, softlinks, allocation, etc.)

 

* Strong knowledge / experience with C (Pointer Arithmetic)

 

* Thread programming, Kernel module development, shard/static libraries, forking, inter-process communication, virtual memory, paging, caching, etc.)

 

* Must have experience with GUI Make - creating / maintaining complex Makefiles, Bash shell scripts

 

* Experience with object oriented development in Python is a must

 

* Developing Embedded Linux Platform, Linux file systems, distribution in Linux

 

Nice to have skills include:

 

8 Simple graphics concepts understanding pixel data, RGBA, YUV, palettes, scanlines raster image data, Cartesian coordinate systems.
