This person will bring strong knowledge of developing test plans, test cases and strong working experience in networking, wireless, modems, ethernet, gateways etc.

Lead Embedded Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be a key player in the quality effort in the development embedded software for our various networking solutions. 



The successful candidate will have 5+ years commercial experience in both manual black box and automated testing of embedded software (writing and executing tests) while providing leadership to improve current and develop new quality processes and procedures, as well as provide project coordination. 



A broad technical background is required, with exposure to many different technologies; familiarity with Linux systems, embedded software, and internetworking technologies are expected. 


Responsibilities: 





Develop test plans for Telecom CPE products – such as DSL and Ethernet gateways.
 
Develop automated test setups and stations.
 
Generate release reports based upon review of test results.
 
Develop and specify test networks and equipment.
 
Ability to use network test equipment such as SmartBits.
 
Recommend improvements in the software development, test, and troubleshoot processes.
 
Work closely with software development to debug, test and validate bug reports.
 
Replicate service provider configurations and troubleshoot issues when needed by customer support. 

Communicate and interact with customer support, product management, engineering and other members of the organization. 



Required Experience:




Strong IP and data networking skills
 
Testing of Telecom products
 
Network protocol testing
 
Testing of products incorporating 802.11 devices
 
Experience with Routers, Switches and 802.1
 
Home Gateway devices
 
Familiar with software life cycle methodologies and tools
 
Testing IPTV systems
 
VoIP/SIP test experience is a plus
 
TR69 experience is a plus.
