*About You.*

You are a database-/sys-admin type who has at least a couple of years of
experience, and you will be responsible for maintaining the database for a
small company. Tasks will include ensuring and improving the functionality
of the database, implementing security measures to safeguard the database,
and managing user accounts. Additionally, you will be required to ensure the
integrity and security of our database-, application-, and web-servers. You
will report to the company’s Lead Developer and should have some minimal
code-writing ability to assist the Lead Developer in his responsibilities.
You are here in the Portland region and would have the ability to start
working for us within the next few weeks.

*Your experience.*

   - Experience helping maintain at least one successful web application
   using any popular framework such as Rails, Drupal, or Cake
   - Experience with mysql, query optimization, and mysql administration
   - Experience with UNIX/Linux system administration
   - 1-2 years experience as a Unix/Linux system administrator or DBA
   - Bachelors degree, or equivalent, in relevant field
   - Skilled in any respectable text editor
   - Some scripting experience such as C-shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, or Php.
   - Experience using git or other revision control technologies
