Message-ID: <4BEF62BA.2020007@zenlinux.com> Hello, I thought I'd pass along info that Intel is looking to hire some more folks who have experience working on the internals of Linux distros and/or kernel experience (especially on embedded platforms). Basically, if you have solid experience in any *one* of the following, you would likely be a strong candidate for this team: * Doing any work on embedded Linux systems that involves making customizations to the OS. * Having broad and deep experience with Linux build systems (e.g, autoconf, xorg, etc), or if you maintain several packages for a community project (e.g, Debian or Fedora). * Kernel experience involving hardware drivers of just about any kind. * Experience with OpenEmbedded and/or Poky would be ideal, but other embedded distros are fine too. These positions are within Intel's Open Source Technology Center, and you would be working directly on open source projects. These positions would also be on the same team I'm on, so if you have any questions about what it's like to work there, I'm happy to give you honest answers. Most of the team works remotely, and folks who live in the Portland area would be expected to come into the office only a couple of days per week once they've settled in, which makes the commute much easier to deal with for Portlanders (like myself). If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me off-list. Otherwise you can send your resume directly to Dave Stewart and mention the posting you saw on the PLUG-jobs mailing list.
