Years of experience: 3 - 5 years experience with Linux System Administration

Project description:
Responsible linux administration and general security of a 5-10 Internet
facing web server environment and a host of Internal linux/unix servers.

Daily Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:(LIST
PRIORITIZED!)

- Linux servers software and administration

Specificly: OpenSuse, Ubuntu
- Linux System Administration experience in a networked environment
- Troubleshooting issues found with the servers and working with
development engineers to resolve
- Hardware configuration
- Assisting web developers in migrating domains, websites, bugzillas,
mailing list s as needed
- Migration support for GIT, SVN repositories, general support
- Documenting processes and procedures
- Bash shell scripting,
- Configuration of nginx, Apache, subversion, git
- Networking
- LAMP Applications: Migration between old servers to new servers
- Maintaining a consistent and reliable server environment
- Familiarity with management and monitoring software
- Executing regular backups and performing restores if required
- Maintaining existing e-mail environments and lists
- Knowledge of postfix/sendmail; rsync; mailman administration
- FTP server support and maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot/create moderately complex Python* scripts
- Python scripting, PHP, Perl, Novell OBS
