About us
We are researchers at Oregon Health and Science University that study
clinical disorders and diseases. A group of us at CSLU work on algorithms
for speech and language processing, and apply these to neurological
disorders for diagnostic, remedial, and assistive purposes, including
autism spectrum disorders, age-related cognitive illness, augmentative and
assistive communications technologies, and speech synthesis. Our education
offerings include a doctoral program in computer science and graduates from
the program find employment in Yahoo, Apple, Microsoft, and Nuance, among
others. Another group of us at OCSSB, with a few researchers overlapping in
both groups, focus on genomics, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. We work
with large amounts of clinical and web data and readily adopt innovations
in big data. In this realm, we closely collaborate with Intel. We are
looking for someone who can not only manage our current resources but also
