Paydici is hiring a *Senior/Lead Software Engineer* to join our expanding
team here in Portland. In this role, you’ll work mostly on the middle and
back ends of the Paydici service. Bug and feature stories will be yours
from inception through prototyping, coding, deployment & acceptance
testing. You’ll play a key role in our agile, story-based, test-driven
development process.

   - You are a tool builder, not just a feature implementer. You get your
   jollies building software tools that make your job easier, make your
   colleagues’ jobs easier, and make the user’s experience better!
   - In this role you will draw on past experience on multiple projects
   across multiple domains. Your experience with many programming languages
   makes the next one a lot easier to learn.

Our service leverages technologies like federated identity, distributed
algorithms, cryptography, transaction processing, and cloud data
synchronization. In addition to straight-up development, you will also
conduct exploratory projects to identify, recommend & implement new
technologies.

*At Paydici, we code mostly in Rails & JavaScript, and use Backbone.js &
Sass on the front-end, MySQL & Redis on the backend. We use Chef to
provision our whole Nginx/Unicorn/Ruby/Ubuntu stack. We’re not dogmatic
about any of these tools, though—we expect you’ll have your own favorites
to add to our mix.*
