From matt at empiricalux.com Wed Apr 9 17:21:59 2014 From: matt at empiricalux.com (Matt Adamo) Date: Wed, 9 Apr 2014 17:21:59 +0000 Subject: [PLUG-JOBS] Help Wanted - Linux devs for product evaluation Message-ID: Hello - My name is Matt, I'm a local UX Researcher working with a client who is looking to get feedback on the documentation/training they have developed for a soon-to-be-released gateway device. We're looking for Linux developers primarily, but experience/familiarity with any of the following is a plus: - Yocto - Gateway products such as Airlink, Connect, Meshlium - Wind River Linux - Hacking on a Raspberry Pi / Arduino - General interest/experience in embedded development/internet of things The opportunity would consist of a 6-hour session where you will walkthrough the process of setting up/configuring the device and writing a "hello world" program. You will be compensated for your time. Your feedback will directly influence the design and delivery of the product, so your time is most appreciated. It this sounds interesting to you, please let me know and we can talk about the project in more detail. This phase of the project is estimated to last a couple of months, but there will be follow-on work if you are versatile, a quick learner and willing to pick up a soldering iron when necessary. I really need someone to work full-time on this with our FPGA engineers, so if you can only work on a moonlighting or telecommuting basis, well, that just isn't going to work. Salary is competitive, usual big-corp benefits (without the bureacracy), incentive options Send a resume if you are interested. I want a keyboard emulator. It should be programmable, and be able to emulate any key or combination of keys that I can find on any keyboard. A configurable rate would be neat too. I want the computer I plug it into to believe it's just your average run-of-the-mill USB keyboard. I'm told that one of the popular project kits like Teensy or Arduino should have most of the necessary pieces available. I don't really care how it's done. I don't want any effort put into pretty-fying it, that's completely irrelevant to my needs. I imagine someone out there could throw something together for me with little effort, whereas it would be a long journey for me. If anyone has any construction or mechanical needs I could help with, I'd be happy to do a trade or partial trade. -wes -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
