Just to be totally above-board here, I thought I'd mention that most
hospitals in this country stopped using latex gloves. They stopped not
because of any issue related to infection or permeability, however. They
stopped because many people have a sensitivity to latex on the skin. They
use that purple stuff now... I forget what it's called.
