Yeah, but instead of replacing the whole doorbell, I want to make it so
that the existing doorbell somehow activates the transmitter.  I can't
actually replace the doorbell that exists.

Could this be just a matter of wiring the remote into the existing bell
feed?  I'll bet that could be done, but there might be some issue with
changing the voltage or something.

I think I'll take a look at one of the cheap systems and see if that's a
possibility.
