Michael:
You are not being discriminated against. Your behavior is. All groups
of people have mores and standards, and any group of people has the right
to exclude those that don't adhere to those mores and standards. The
fact that you are still alive and not in prison demonstrates that you are
capable of following some standards, if they are enforced with painful
sanctions. However, you do not demonstrate that capability here. So
we engage in the one sanction available to us - excluding you from the
conversation.
Being excluded from posting to the plug list is pretty minor as sanctions
go, and that exclusion goes away soon after you recognize and cease the
offensive behavior. There are many parts of the world where your behavior
would get you killed. In spite of the grief you cause me and others, in
my good moments I can tolerate your pigheaded insistence on baiting us
and wasting our time. In my bad moments, I want to parachute you into
Guantanamo and let you practice your attitude on some armed Marines.
At no time do I think you have earned the right to waste my time and
my bandwidth with off-topic and irritating rants.
You have many options, including:
(1) Set up your own email list. Do NOT put me on it. The plug list is
not some natural blessing bestowed by bountiful God on all mankind;
it is the result of donated time and resources by some generous and
kind people. If they exclude you, I am 100% behind them. The one
who pays the piper calls the tune.
(2) Pay someone to listen to your rants. I would suggest a therapist,
but there are some out-of-work programmers who probably would
consider listening to you if the pay was high enough.
(3) Join the Microsofties. "Help" them the way you "help" us. If you
treated their customers the way you treat ours ...
(4) Grow up. Adults do not behave the way that you do. That is why they
get jobs and spouses, and rarely have other adults telling them to
shut up.
This is NOT about your status, or appearance, or religion. This is
about WHAT YOU DO. And the funny thing is, I think you know that, and
you are looking for someone to discipline you and set limits for you,
and do the job that your parents apparently did not do. Well, we do
not have the patience or the legal standing to be your substitute mommy.
You will have to suck it up and finish growing up on your own.
