Oh don't get me wrong. I understand that it's the owners prerogative to
allow smoking there, since it falls within the limits of exclusion from
the smoking laws. How's that for wording it backwards...
However, I choose to excersize my right to not frequent that
establishment because the smoke inside the place about made me and my
girlfriend sick.
Which is sad for several reasons. One, I know the foods good, but I
can't bring myself to eat there. Two, smokers tend to not be able to
taste as well, so they aren't able to enjoy the good food. Three, fewer
and fewer people smoke, so the pool of potential customers is most
likely shrinking.
But then, I'm also reminded again of the fact that most places that have
the ban in place actually show an INCREASE in business.
When you ban smoking, you are telling the majority (the non-smokers)
that they are welcome. As I said before, the smokers are a minority.
Fortunately, not a protected one.
