The irony, of course, is that these same people (in government and out) who
parade signs reading "Pro Life" in front of the hospice and in their speeches
are often the most vociferous supporters of the death penalty. Like many
people they pick and choose which values they want from any particular set.

Teri Schiavo died 15 years ago, but her brainstem has kept her breathing
and alive since then. She's as alive as a turnip in the ground. I think the
saddest part of this whole circus is that her parents (and, siblings, too)
are in such deep denial for so long.
