Paul,

   I have a Dual 1019 turntable that I bought when I lived in Germany in the
mid-1960s. It's a very good quality item, but would need a pre-amp, ... and
the ART item looks just like a winner!

   I will use Audacity with it.

   Thanks very much. This is a better use of funds rather than buying a
second turntable.
