Howdy!  I'm in Redmond Washington inside the Microsoft Conference
Center to give a couple of presentations at the Space Elevator
Conference.  About competing visions, of course.  I'm not sure
whether the Microsofties or the Space Elevatorists are going to
chase me out of town first.  No, the've been very nice, the 
Kool Aid is tasty, and the incision for the implant is healing
nicely. 

Who cares if the free wifi blocks my VPN, and their podium
computer won't allow me to use Flash or Javascript in my
presentations?  That meant I used my own laptop, displaying
a 60 foot wide "ubuntu" on two screens.  :-)

My wydiwys presentation, with raytraced animations, blew away
all the Powerpoints .   It is amazing what you can do with open

So it has been fun so far.  Maybe I will get to meet Sauron and
Saruman.
