I am not a professional expert on the issue of whether or not homosexual
sex should be treated as normal by society.  I am not an expert on the
"gay marriage" or "civil union" isuues.  However, I have pointed to many
experts from Catholic Answers and Narth.  Karl Keating, Scott Hahn,
etcetera.

As far as the comment that I don't respect homosexuals if I see
something wrong with homosexuality, let's probe this a bit further.
If you are uncomfortable with the idea of a man sleeping with your
wife, is saying something to him demonstrating a lack of respect?

"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman," is pretty clear
on it's condemnation of homosexual sex.  God is not comfortable
with homosexual sex and trying to say something about it.

"Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their
hearts for the mutual degradation of their bodies.  They exchanged the
truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather
than the creator, who is blessed forever.  Amen.  Therefore, God handed
them over to degrading passions.  Their females exchanged natural
relations for unnatural, and the males likewise gave up natural
relations with females and burned with lust for one another.  Males did
shameful things with males and thus received in their own person the due
penalty of their perversity." ( Romans 1: 24-27 New American Bible )

The former passage condemns homosexual sex and it is in the New
Testament.  It does not condemn homosexual feelings, it condemns
actions.  Noone should burn with homosexual passions where
God is so strongly opposed to homosexual actions.  For those
who do, it is a heavy cross to bear.

The word natural is referring to sexual activity as defined in Genesis
between 1 man and 1 woman.
