The term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion,
restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or
ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing
the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human
rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social,
cultural or any other field of public life. '[1]
Saying that American Indians are more susceptible to
alcoholism than Caucasians of European descent is not
racist, it's a fact. It's one of the reason why
Native Americans and smart Caucasians for that matter
should be especially careful with alcohol. The latter
is not racist, it is good sound advice. Nowhere in
Karl's statement did he say, being prone to
alcoholism makes Native Americans less human than
other ethnic groups, something that actually is a
racist statement. You have abused the term racism
before Jason, I tire of you doing this.
If you tell a man enough times, "when are you going to
stop beating your wife," the only choice the man has
is to say immediately because you won't believe that he
in fact isn't beating his wife and effectively you won't
stop terrorizing him. This is the tactic that
is used by some radical feminists and some radical gay
advocates. It is a very cruel tactic. It attempts to
break down the critical person by attacking him/her
with the label oppressor. Few issues are totally
black and white. A person who is against homosexual
sex is clearly not guranteed to be anti homosexuals.
Like Karl said, most people will avoid homosexuals.
