Hi,

I am looking for advice/leads to health insurance for my son who will be biking 
across the country (Ohio to northern WA) immediately after college graduation 
this May.

What I would like is a high-deductible plan which does not tie him to in-plan 
providers.  The purpose of the plan is to protect against major losses.  The 
routine stuff he/we can handle.

I have read about HSAs, but most of the discussions deal with the IRS rules. 
Since he will not be employed, I am not sure the tax consequences should be a 
major consideration.  The health insurance is the key.

Can anybody here contribute some clarity to the commercial hype and 10-page fine 
print contracts?
