At my last company we would hold a sweepstake for the right to designate
naming schemes which lead to boxes named after famous welsh people. This
has to change when we moved to an HA scheme with paired machines so we
switched to comedy (and cartoon) duos. The best was the name some one
came up with for the firewall pair: cheech and chong.

I used dogs for a while at a gambling dot com due to the endless stream
of greyhound names that ran across a bunch of TV's in the office.
