[PLUG-TALK] Sirius Car Radios

[Rich Shepard]

I'll be driving in the boonies a lot where there's no FM radio reception,
so I'm looking at buying a Sirius receiver for my truck(s). The least
expensive plan ($6.99/month) is their a la carte one; choice of 50 stations
(if I stretch it I can find 5 or 6 I'd listen to). What I'm having
difficulty finding are receivers that are compatible with that program.
Apparently, Sirius sells models for specific program packages.

The only model I've identified so far is the Starmate 5 (a.k.a. ST5TK1).
There ought to be other, less expensive, models but I cannot find a Web site
that has a list of 'em. The Sirius site shows only that one model.

Has anyone here installed a Sirius receiver in a vehicle? I've no idea
what I'd need other than the radio. Many models come with a car kit, but
then there are accessory car installation kits for more money.

I'm surprised that I'm having difficulties finding information via Google.
As usual, any and all ideas, suggestions, reports of personal experience,
and other comments are solicited and will be welcomed.
